…aka me!
Hello friends!
First, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Hailey Perkins. I am a Christian, wife, homemaker and owner of this humble food blog. My desire and focus with creating this blog is not only to share delicious eats and some of my favorite crowd pleasing recipes, but to hopefully bless you and our family with flavorful meals that can be enjoyed by all who gather around your dinner table. Along with recipes from my kitchen, I look forward to sharing helpful insights I've learned along my cooking journey that not only make cooking a lot easier, but also makes the end product taste much better too!
As a homemaker and wife, I am passionate about helping people fall in love with flavorful dishes that satisfies each and every member in their home! On this site you will find an eclectic range of recipes from classic Americana to Ethiopian and everything in-between. God truly did create a wonderfully unique world filled with endless flavor combinations just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed! Unlocking some of those delicious mysteries God baked into creation, so as to feed my family, has been such blessing and I cannot wait to share what I have discovered with you all!
With that being said, I am a firm believer that God created every individual with their own gloriously unique flavor palate, and there is nothing wrong with that! For example, I'll start...I really am not crazy about olive oil...I know, cooking sacrilege!! I do confess that because of the health benefits I am slowly incorporating it into my cooking, so you will definitely see it here... but, if you so choose to dabble in cooking the recipes I share on this site please do not hesitate with incorporating your own favorite ingredients (or withholding any of mine) if you see fit! You are the chef de cuisine of your own kitchen! Remember to always listen to your inner "Little Chef" as you go!
“I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is a gift from God.”
Ecclesiastes 3:12-13
